Self Selection Questions

Undertaking any form of study is a big commitment, especially if you are working whilst studying. Therefore it is vital to make sure that the qualification you are looking to attain is right for you and that you are in a position to maximise the learning experience.

To help you decide if this qualification is the right one, we would recommend asking yourself the following questions:

  • Do I have the qualifications and/or experience as set out in the brochure?
  • Do I enjoy learning?
  • Am I self-motivated?
  • Will I be able to maintain a consistent level of effort and performance throughout the programme?
  • Do I enjoy reading?
  • Do I have effective study skills?
  • Am I able to find a minimum of 10 hours per week to study?
  • Will my partner/family support me while I am completing the programme?
  • Will my employer support me while I am completing the programme?
  • Do I enjoy a challenge?
  • Do I enjoy new and different ways of doing things?
  • Can I write accurately and fluently?
  • Can I create a logical and persuasive case when dealing with issues?
  • Will I be able to cope with financial and statistical calculations?
  • Am I prepared to put some of my current hobbies and interests on hold in order to complete the programme?
  • Am I really keen to become professionally qualified?
  • If you can answer "Yes" to all the above questions then the course will be right for you.

If you answer "No" to 2 or 3 of the questions, you should consider the issues involved and whether and how they might be overcome. If they can be overcome then the course should be the right choice for you. You may want to discuss this with our sales team.

If you answer "No" to more than 3 of the above questions then you should think about whether the course is right for you at this time. It may not be, but there may be an alternative qualification more appropriate for you, for example our Certificate programs

We want to assist you in making the right decision and be aware of exactly what you will be undertaking. So if this exercise has created questions please contact us by E-mail: admin@malpas.bpp.com
